There is so much to do this weekend. Plan for the valentine, the gifts, the quality time, the unique spot to be together. We understand. But this is not the day only for a certain named relationship. It’s for all those who carry love in their heart for anyone. Even your pets. Read what’s behind Valentine making it a for love day and surely after reading this you will find your reason to celebrate this valentine and the way.

When and How did Valentine started?

It’s believed that St. Valentine was a priest from Rome. Who lived in the third century AD. Emperor Claudaus II had banned marriages, believing married men made bad soldiers and St. Valentine is thought to have arranged marriages in secret.

He was imprisoned and sentenced to death for his crimes. There in jail he(St. Valentine) apparently fell in love with a jailer’s daughter and  on the day of his execution, he sent her a Love letter signed “From Your Valentine”, as a good bye letter and the date was 14th February.

Dear Cupid..

Cupid is the God of Desire, erotic love attraction and affection. He is often portraited as the son of love Goddess Venus and the war God Mars. Cupid is also known in Latin as Armour (Love). People who fall in love are said to be struck by Cupid’s arrow.

Love isn’t just finding your soul mate, it’s about taking the time to speak, listen and care about those around you and share in that mutual caring and trust. Pay attention to the feelings and actions of not only your friends, but also yourself.

Valentine’s day isn’t about who is dating whom, its about loving without expectation. As Valentine’s day quickly approaches , I am sure most of us single people can’t help but dread it just a little bit. Valentine day is really just about love and lucky for us. Love isn’t an emotion reserved for those significant others.

When Jesus said Love thy neighbour …

Think about it, you love your parents, you love your siblings, you love your grand parents, you love your best friend, you love your pet, and list is endless and could go on & on.

Valentine’s day should be about showing all the people in your life how much you care about them, call your parents if you are not staying with them. I am 100% sure, they will love it.
