Snake Awareness Workshop

This is a call for all ophiophilists, zoophiles and ecologists. Celebrate this World Snake Day with some awareness about these crawling creature. BNHS CEC- DELHI in association with SOS wildlife team reflect on the importance of our native reptiles at Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary. Snakes are said to be conniving but are beautiful and to some extend endangered animals.

Get rid of all prejudices of this neither mean nor ugly animal. An essential part of our ecosystem.

Talk on The Tamil Epic : Cilappatikaram

Mahabharata and Ramayana are the common epics which every Indian is known to but Cilappatikaram is also an epic which has is its own space in the world of literature. Cilappatikaram is a common text most English honors students read in their graduation and masters. It is tells us the story of a girl Kannaki, her chastity and her apotheosis and all this gear up with the importance and personification of an anklet in her life. This epic is gained importance in the life of students but it has triumph interest of many scholars.

One such scholar is Professor Indira Parthasarathy, noted Tamil writer and playwright. He is best known for his plays, “Aurangzeb”, “Nandan Kathai” and “Ramanujar”.  Awarded the Saraswati Samman (1999), Sahitya Akademi Award (1999) and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award (2004) and  Padma Shri (2010). He will deliver a talk on the anklet – a villain or hero.

Guru Pranaam Sangeet Samaroh

Guru Shishaya parampara is an old practice started by our ancestor to celebrate the bonding between a guru (teacher) and their shishaya (student).

So to all the art lovers raise a toast to your gurus this Guru Poornima by showing them your love and concerns. Parmaarth Foundation brings to you a musical evening starring Prof. Suneera Kasliwal Vyas and Bihar Brothers – Sanjeev Jha & Manish Kumar with a melodious sitar and drupad recital respectively dedicating the evening to their respective gurus.
