Voices Of Partition


IHC welcomes you for a  historic talk show “Voices of Partition,” Narratives recounted by witnesses to story collectors from both sides of the border, offering an acute understanding into human experiences against the backdrop of Independence and Partition.

Speakers for the evening: Joginder Singh Dhamija, Saleem Hassan Siddiqui, Keerti Kunzru, Mishika Nayyar.

Nature Walk in Rain


BNHS CEC-Delhi invite you to join us on a walk through the forest of Asola on 14 August.

Birds and animals do different things in the rain as well. During nature walk in Asola, try to find wild animals taking shelter from the rain & enjoy nature clicking. Everything looks so lovely with drops of rain on it when photographed. In Asola, small rivulets and streams become active during the monsoon. Bring a waterproof camera and enjoy easy, guided walk in the forest. A walk in mother nature will surely nurture your mind, body and soul.

Azadi 70 saal – yaad karo kurbani

Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of Information & Ministry of Defence is organising an film festival regarding the 70 years of independence of India. So celebrate this Independence Day watching your favourite patriortic movie.

Dharamdev Anand, better known as Dev Anand, was an Indian film actor, writer, director and producer known for his work in Hindi cinema. Part of the Anand family, he co-founded Navketan Films in 1949 with his elder brother Chetan Anand, regarded as one of the influential actors in the history of Indian cinema. A milestone in bringing up of the Bollywood cinema. In his rememberance IICC is organising an evening of musical of musical tribute to him.

chand roz aur mere jaan – old world theatre


Old World Culture presents “Chand Roz Aur Meri Jaan” Urdu/English Play.

A theatrical rendition of letters exchanged between Faiz Ahmad Faiz and Alys, his wife, during his imprisonment in Sindh. The letters symbolize our hopes, our aspirations and embodied in them our‘singing tomorrows’.

Synopsis : ‘For anyone to create poems anytime, someone has to live poems all the time.’ And ‘While Faiz created poems of ineffable beauty, Alys has lived poems all the time.’ This is borne out by their letters, written to each other, which also brings forth two facets of humanism.

The enchanting voice of Salima Raza along with the powerful presence of Banwari Taneja, will cast a spell on the crowd with beautiful poetry and magical music weaved into the performance of reciting these letters.
