Transgender Anohni boycotted Oscars
Transgender Anhoni boycotted Oscar who was a nominee for best original song for “Manta Ray,” a collaboration with J. Ralph from documentary “Racing Extinction.” The reason for missing the ceremony was because she was exempted from performing live becaue of her transsexuality.

Despite the exemption of transgenders MOONLIGHT becomes the first LGBT film to take away Oscars. Moonlight uses one man’s story to often a remarkable and brilliantly crafed look at lives too rarely seen in cinemas.
